BTX Airdrop Registration Manual
A manual for those who struggles setting up wallet and register for BTX airdrop.
Note: Your wallet has to contain 1BTX before the airdrop. In case you didn't receive 4% airdrop, check if you have more than one addresses. It could be that 1 address is registered and the other not. Note: 10BTX is not necessary anymore. That was for the 25% airdrop a few weeks back.
Click on a wallet that corresponds to your Operating System
You are now on Github
Choose the correct OS again. I am on Windows.
Click on the arrow next to save
Click Save as..
I choose for the folder Downloads.
You will see this filename in the bar.
Finished Downloading. Click on Open Folder
There you see the compressed folder already selected
Rightclick on the file en select Extract all..
Select Destination Folder which is ok, but I prefer to change the filename so I know later it is the Bitcore Wallet
Leave it as is, or change it to a name you like.
Decompression of the Zip-file, a matter of waiting a minute. Check : Show extracted...
After decompression, we will see theses folders. Doubleclick the bin folder.
We're going to install. Leave as is, but I prefer a location where I can find it back easily.
I like it in the C: directory where I make a folder ("new" with rightclick) named BTX
On top in the address bar I see this
I select the folder, BTX in my case
You just can click OK. It is not an error message what you see.
Installation process, just wait a bit.
Meanwhile the Firewall could pop up. Check Private Networks
The wallet will sync what could take a while (not 25 year). You can click hide for now
21 years to go, lol.
Go back to the website, and press BTX Airdrop Register.
Keep this in mind. That's how we need to generate our code.
I did it before, so I know it's handy to get the notepad now. Type signmessage airdrop
Oh yeah, You can hide the syncing screen if you didn't do that already
Click File and then Receiving address.
There I copy the address with rightclick
I paste that address between signmessage and AIRDROP in Notepad
Go to help and then Debug Window
Click tab: console
Past the text from notepad into the command line of the console
Press Enter, and a code will be generated
Past the result in Notepad
go back to the website and paste the wallet's address on top and the generated code below
